My Week #2

Hello Everyone!
This week was insane but full of fun jobs! I began the week on Sunday with a Boudoir shoot, which was SO much fun (I won't have photos from that ;)  )  Monday I had two headshot sessions and both of the ladies were so lovely! Tuesday Wednesday, and Thursday were full of 10 hour production days. Tuesday was a commercial for a medical company. Wednesday and Thursday we were wrapping up "The Circle" film pick ups that we shot last summer! Friday was a much calmer day with a wedding trial in the morning and a prom makeup in the afternoon! Saturday I had the opportunity to work with my good friend on a wedding. I had 5 makeups to do and only remembered to take a photo of one of them! I always forget to take photos when I do weddings! Saturday night some friends and I went out and did the Buckhead Pub Crawl. IT SO WAS FUN! :) Here are some photos from this week! I also purchased some new makeup products this week so I will try and get a haul post or a first impressions post out either tonight or tomorrow! I hope everyone has had a safe and happy week :)

My Week #1

Hello Everyone!
I decided I want to start doing a weekly blog post to keep you posted on my work, my life etc. This series is going to be called "My Week" creative right?? haha

Here it goes!

Last Sunday was super fun! I woke up and just hung out. Aren't Sundays like that the best? I then attended a dinner party at a friends house. He is a general manager at a really popular restaurant here in Atlanta. He has started a "supper club" where he invites friends over charges a small fee and cooks us all a three course meal. It was so fun and I got to meet so many amazing people! Below is my hair and makeup for this event:

Wednesday and Thursday I was working on the film that we shot last summer called "The Circle". They rewrote the first few minutes of the film and so we were doing pick up shots. I loved the cast and the crew that we worked with. Wednesday we filmed in Jackson, Georgia and then Thursday we filmed in Conyers at a run down barn. It was great! I snapped a few pictures on set and thought I would share them!

After recovering from my overnight shoot Thursday ( I got home around 3), I spent Friday afternoon house shopping with my mom and Seth! Saturday I had a very early call time of 7am in Senoia! If you watch "The Walking Dead", we shot in the town of "Woodbury". I managed to snatch some Zombie Coffee from the local coffee shop :) Below is a shot from the commercial shoot we did! He was one of the TEN talent I worked with yesterday!

I then spent my Saturday night at Stone Summit Climbing gym because they were having a huge event with sponsors, free beer and Mellow Mushroom Pizza! So fun!!! :) Below is Seth being a boss bouldering.

I hope you all enjoy posts like these because I know I love reading other peoples weekly updates! This week should be fun also so I will fill you all in next Sunday!

February Favorites

Hello Everyone!
I can not believe how fast February went by its crazy!! I wanted to share with you all some of this months most used products. Some of these you may have already seen in posts through out the month but some of these are new! I'll start from the left and work over to the right.

La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense was one of my skin's life savers this month. My skin was insanely dry this month and my Argan Oil just wasn't cutting it. I used this morning and night for a good portion of this month and my skin is noticably different and so much softer.

Vichy Dermafinish Foundation has been one of my new loves. I placed an order a few weeks ago thinking I was ordering Dermablend for my kit and then this showed up. I decided to give it a try instead of going through the hassle of returning it. I LOVE it. The coverage is amazing and it is my perfect color match. This lasted easily 10 hours on my skin and it has an SPF of 30 which will be great for summertime!

Marc Jacobs Concealer in "Awake #1" is Marc Jacobs full coverage concealer/corrector.  I have been loving this concealer. It is my perfect color match and I love this is just has the slightest peach tone for correcting. This lasts really well on my under eyes and I find that if I set it, it won't crease at all!

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pen in "Soft Brown" I have already talked about this pencil so much but I am still so in love with it. I did a full review here so go check it out!

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee in "Poppy Paradise" is such a lovely cheek stain. This product has a very interesting texture but when its applied to the cheek it blends out so evenly and the color is the perfect spring time pink. I apply this with a duo fiber stippling brush and then blend it out with my fingers.

Hourglass Primer Serum has been another great tool for my dry skin. Hourglass primer is my holy grail primer but since my skin has been super dry I have been using this serum primer. It adds the same lasting power to my makeup while giving me extra bit of moisture that I need!

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask I decided to start doing masks more so I can try and clear up some break outs and this has been a great one! I have noticed that no additional blemishes have popped up and my break outs that I have currently are clearing up. I will keep using this to get an idea of long term results but so far I am very pleased!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in "Diffused Heat" has been my go to blush all month. I love this shade sooo much and love how easy it is to blend on my cheeks. I am also amazed by the lasting power of these blushes. I haven't had any problems with the color fading even after 8 hours. I own a few other shades but this one is definitely my favorite!!

Well I hope you all enjoyed reading about my favorite products this month. What have been some of your favorites??

I hope this was helpful!

Oscar Makeup 2014

Hello Everyone!!

I wanted to share with you some of my favorite looks from the Oscars this year. I also wanted to mention a few products that can help to recreate each look.

1. Jennifer Lawrence

I thought Jennifer Lawrence looked amazing. I loved her dress and her slicked back hair was super cool. This makeup is very simple yet effective. I do wish that the artist filled in the eyebrows more. I think that would have added a bit more structure and it would have looked even more beautiful. Some key products to achieve this look:

2. Julia Roberts

Julia Roberts looked so beautiful. I loved her lace black dress and her beautiful blonde hair. I think her bronzed eye with smokey liner and the nude lip is just perfect with this look. Some key products to achieve this look:

3. Lupita Nyong'o

Along with everyone else on the planet, I loved this whole look. Lupita looked incredible and this blue shade is perfect with her deeper complexion. I loved how simple she kept her makeup look with the thick lashes and a pop of pinkish coral on the lip. Some key products to achieve this look:

4. Olivia Wilde

Olivia Wilde looked beautiful in this black dress and these amazing earrings! I loved her statement cat eye with her perfectly nude lip. Such a stunning yet classic makeup look. Some key products to achieve this look:

5. Naomi Watts

This might be my favorite look of the night. Naomi is 45 years old and I can not believe how incredible her skin looks. She just looks absolutely flawless. Some key products to achieve this look:

I hope you all enjoyed this post! Everyone looked so beautiful and its so fun finding products to recreate some of there looks! :)

Love and Beauty by Forever21

Hello Everyone!
I was doing a little bit of spring shopping yesterday when I stumbled upon this palette in Forever 21.

It is a 16 pan Shimmery Eye Shadow palette. I thought the shades were all really beautiful so I decided to give it a try. Plus for only $4.80 I couldn't go wrong.

I have mixed emotions about this palette so I will go through the pros and cons;

  • Actually very pigmented
  • Nice color options
  • very inexpensive
  • Powdery
  • Lots of fallout
  • CHEAP packaging
  • No matte shades
  • Way to many highlight shades

You can achieve a nice eye look with this palette but you need to have patience and know how to blend really well. Make sure you knock the excess product off your brush before applying it to your eye. Also, with this palette, I would do your eyes first and then do your face makeup so the fall out won't be a problem.

I don't regret buying this palette because it was only $4.80 and I do think I will wear a few of the colors but I would not repurchase this palette ever again. If you are looking for something cheap to mix into your eye routine every once in a while this wouldn't be a bad purchase. If you are someone looking for an everyday eyeshadow palette I would say this is not the palette for you.

I hope this was helpful!
