Last Minute Beauty Gift Ideas

Hello Lovelies,
I can't believe how fast this month has gone by. It has been such a fun few weeks and I am looking forward to Christmas, New Years and MY TRIP TO EUROPE!! I seriously can't wait.

Anyways for those of you who have to do some last minute shopping, I wanted to share some holiday sets and some palettes that I think would make great gifts.

1. Lorac Pro Palette is a great option for that girl who isn't afraid of a little eye makeup. It has 8 matte and 8 shimmery shades. I love this palette because it has so many great neutral shades but it also has a few beautiful accent colors to bump up any eye look. It is $42.00 and well worth every penny!
2. Tarte Kiss and Belle Lipsurgence Lip Set is a great gift for someone that loves lip products. It has 8 lip products; 4 lipsurgence lip tints, 2 lipsurgence matte lip tints and 2 lip glosses. I am a huge fan of Tarte lip products is this is a great way to try a few different shades for a great price! It is $34.00 and you can purchase this at Sephora or ULTA.

3. Urban Decay Naked on the Run is a great palette for any beauty junkie. It is relatively new and it is limited addition! This palette contains an eye liner, mascara, lip gloss, 5 eye shadows, a bronzer and a blush. This is a great gift for anyone who travels a lot because it is so compact and it has basically everything you need to do your makeup. This is $54.00 and it can also be purchased at Sephora or ULTA.

4. Tarte Bon Voyage Collectors Set is such a great beauty gift! I mean that eye shadow palette is absolutely beautiful but then you also get a mascara, cheek stain, lip gloss, lip tint, maracuja oil, setting powder and a travel case. It almost is to good to be true. This is $59.00 and its so much value for money. Any beauty lover would be so excited to receive this!

I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season and I will talk to you soon :)

Why "Draw the Line" is the Perfect Eye Liner Set!

I personally have not purchased this set because I actually own all of these eye liners on there own. When I saw this set online I knew I needed to post about it. This set contains 4 of the best eye liners I have used.

1. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liner in "Dark Brown" is an amazing liquid liner. It will last you all day with no budging.
2. Kat Von D Deluxe Tattoo liner in "Trooper" is my favorite felt tip liner. The felt tip does not fray and break apart which a lot of other felt tip liners do. It also is smudge proof and will last all day.
3. NARS Via Veneto Larger Than Life Long Wear Eyeliner is one of my favorite pencil liners. This product sets very quickly and does not move so its great for a precise application. I own this in black and brown and it is my go to liner every day!
4. Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner in Blacquer is a great pencil for the smokey looks. This takes a little longer to set so you really have time to smudge it out. Once this liner does set, it isn't going to move. I love this liners because they are a more satin/shimmer finish.

The other two eye liners in this kit are really good but not my favorites.

1. Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12 Hour Wear in Black lace is a good eye pencil but I did find that it smudged a bit in the corner of my eyes. I definitely did not find that this pencil wears 12 hours.. maybe 3 or 4 with out smudging.
2. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Double ended eye pencil in Perversion and Rockstar is the last pencil in this kit. I have a love hate relationship with the Urban Decay 24/7 pencils and I think I may be the only one in the beauty world who feels that way. I love the shade range and the application but I just don't think they wear as well as the Marc Jacobs or the NARS pencils. This is not the worst eye liner in the world but definitely not the best.

I believe all of the liners in this kit are a half sized version. That being said, I have had my NARS eye liners for at least 3 months and I wear them every day and I still have a ton of product left. I think this kit is such a steal! It is a great way to try new eye liners and test out the different applications.

This kit is for sale at Sephora for $30.00 ($79.00 value). I would highly recommend picking this up or ordering it online!

I hope this was helpful!

"Film Star Bronze and Glow" Palette

Film Star Bronze and Glow Palette

As you may or may not know, Charlotte Tilbury products are now sold in the U.S. I have been looking forward to getting my hands on some of her products for a long time, this palette in particular. I purchased this palette on Beautylish.

I am a big fan of dewy/glowy skin and this palette gives me just that. It is a shimmery bronzer on one side and the perfect highlighter on the other. Sometimes shimmery bronzers can have chunks of glitter which I do not like. This one is more of a satin shimmer. This is a cooler brown which I love because it can also work as a contour shade.

The packaging is a really beautiful rose gold. I love how luxurious it feels and looks. Also, I love that there isn't a lot of excess packaging. When you open it you can see that you get a lot of product.

From the swatches you can see that this brown really isn't too deep. This works great for my skin tone but could probably only work for light to medium skin tones. I am hoping she comes out with at least one shade deeper for darker skin tones. This highlighter could be used on pretty much anyone but just remember a little goes a long way!

I am so happy with the pigmentation and blend ability of this product. There is nothing more anoying  than a blotchy bronzer. I have had no problems with the longevity but I do use primers etc. to help my makeup last longer.

This palette has been all the rave in Hollywood and has been used on tons of celebrities for red carpet events. I was excited to finally get my hands on it and try it out for myself.

Here is the kicker, it costs $65.00. OUCH  That is definitely an expensive highlight/contour palette. I would suggest this to people who love trying new products or people who are willing to invest in a few great products for there makeup collection. These colors are VERY beautiful but definitely not one of a kind.

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and I know I will use it a ton. Besides the color range, there isn't anything I dislike about this product.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and comment below with some of your favorite highlight/contour products.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette Coming Soon!

I saw this on Sephora's website this morning and I wanted to make sure I shared it ASAP. Hourglass is one of my favorite brands at the moment. There powders, blushes, lip products and tinted moisturizer have been some of my favorite products this year. I was so excited when they launched the Ambient Lighting Blush's and now I am even more excited to get my hands on the palette.

This set includes three shades:
1. Luminous Flush- a champagne rose. This is the only shade I own already and I use it a ton!
2. Incandescent Electra - a cool peach. This is a new shade that is not in the current blush line.
3. Mood Exposure- a soft plum.

This palette contains .11 oz of product per blush compared to a regular size of .15 oz. These cost $35.00 on there own and this palette is $58.00 which makes this a really great deal.

You may have to be a VIB Rouge to sign up for the notification when it becomes available. All I know now is that it is "coming soon".

I will definitely be purchasing this palette and when I do I can do a post with swatches etc.

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in La Caline 36

La Caline 36

I have a confession to make... I have an obsession with Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipsticks. I have fallen in love and there is nothing anyone can do to change my mind.

"La Caline 36" is a gorgeous pinky nude shade that can pretty much work with any makeup look you want to create. It has a velvety matte finish which is really nice!

These lipsticks are so smooth and comfortable to wear. This shade lasts (on my lips) about 3 hours before I need to reapply. It is not super long wearing but it doesn't leave any weird ring or blotchy stain behind. I purchased this lipstick at Nordstrom but it can be purchased at any Chanel counter. ($35.00)

I am a huge fan of these lipsticks and I think if you are going to get a special lipstick to wear for a special occasion, I would highly recommend these.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this and let me know what your favorite high end lipstick is!

New Laura Mercier Concealer: Hit or Miss?

Laura Mercier launched a new concealer this year called "High Coverage Concealer for Under Eye". I love me some concealers so I decided to pick it up and give it a go.

Here is the online description "A unique three-in-one, highly pigmented concealer designed to cover, de-puff, and brighten dark undereye circles, while nourishing and smoothing skin. A little goes a long way, so just use a “pin drop".”

Other info:  There are 12 shades in this concealer range. I have shade 2 which is the 4th lightest shade ( I have fair/ivory skin). There is .27 fl oz of product. (comparison: NARS .22 fl oz, MUFE Full Coverage .5 fl oz)

I have been using this concealer the past two weeks and unfortunately it just does not live up to my expectations. I think Laura Mercier makes beautiful foundations and powders and I love her secret  concealer. This concealer is definitely full coverage but I think it looks chalky on the skin. I noticed, pretty much every time I wore this, that it does this weird separating thing on my skin. It kind of makes me look like I have scales. Also, they are not kidding with they say a "pin drop" this stuff is THICK. Its actually kind of hard to squeeze out of the tube. The "de puff" claim is hard to review. I don't have super puffy under eyes and when I do to lack of sleep I usually use an eye cream or roller ball before applying my makeup. I can say that there is no noticeable difference right away but maybe with use over time?

I think for the price, you can find something much better. I would recommend her Secret Concealer or Bobbi Brown Corrector if you are looking for a corrective under eye concealer.

Of course, this is just my opinion and I would always recommend trying products for yourself. Some products may not work for me that may work wonders for you. This product was just a miss for me.

I purchased this at Sephora for $28.00. You can also get it on the Laura Mercier Website

If you have tried this product let me know your thoughts!

Avon Extra Lasting Eyeshadow Pencils

It is hard to describe in words my love for these Avon Extra Lasting Eyeshadow Pencils. I discovered these a few months ago and have used them in my professional kit on every job since.

This is your basic eye shadow pencil ( similar to Mally Evercolor Shadow Sticks or the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks). They are extremely pigmented, super blend able and once they set they are waterproof.

I apply these either all over the lid and blend them out as an eye shadow or use a brush with them to apply as an eye liner.

From left to right:
1. Shimmering Sand - a metallic cream
2. Crystal Taupe - a metallic taupe
3. Amethyst - a metallic light purplish brown
4. Topaz Shimmer - a metallic bronze
5. Rich Cocoa - a matte dark brown
6. Smokey Plum - a satin deep purple

There are 10 total shades in the line and I will probably be picking up the other 4 soon. These are on Avon website for $8.50 but currently on sale for $4.99.  I highly recommend these to anyone looking to add a new shade to there eye shadow routine. They are so easy to use and last so long on the eye.

These do take about 2 minutes to completely set so give them a moment to dry when using them as eye liner etc.

I do not have a bad word to say about this product. They are wonderful and cheap which is a killer combination.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this post.

My Favorite Fall Blushes

You may think, "Hey Hope these blushes all look the same?" my answer to you is yes they do haha.  I guess you can tell the shade I reach for most in the fall months. I actually didn't realize how similar these were until I took this photograph. Although these are very similar, there are slight differences.

NARS Blush in "Dolce Vita" is a matte dusty rose. This has a more pink tone to it than the other two. I love the whole Dolce Vita color range that NARS offers. ($30.00)

theBalm Cabana Boy is a dusty rose with subtle shimmer. This has a more berry tone to it. I love pairing this with my deeper lip sticks. ( Don't you live the nice swatch mark I left in this blush) theBalm blushes are extremely pigmented so I would recommend using very little. ( $21.00)

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour blush in "Exposed" is a matte nude pink. This shade has more of a brown undertone. I wear this blush a lot with brighter lip sticks and reds. ( $26.00)

I hope you all enjoyed this post and let me know of any other fall colors I should try!

My Birthday Wish List

I can't believe it's already September. I feel like this summer flew by very quickly. My birthday is in a few weeks and wanted to share with you all what I have my eye on. Most of it is actually from Madewell this year! I will start from the top left..

1. NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette: I have had my eye on this ever since it came out. It looks so lovely and I can't wait to finally get my hands on it. 15 shades of NARS eyeshadows in one palette? How could I not want this.

2. Collarless Popover in Elmhurst Check: I love Madewell's popover shirts and I do not have anything in this black and white check in my wardrobe. I wear a lot of dark jeans and boots and I think I will wear this shirt a ton!

3. Fresh Rose Face Mask: I have been looking for a good hydrating mask and I have been loving the rose scent lately. I like Fresh products a lot so I think I will really enjoy this.

4. Charlie Boot in "Cigar": I love Madewell's boots and I am OBSESSED with these. I am pretty sure I would wear this every day.

5. Tracklist Side-Zip Pullover: I need a comfy black sweater for the winter time and I love the side zip detail of this one. Madewell's sweaters are the bomb and think this one is super cute.

6. The Watertower Messenger Bag: I know, I know it seems like I am obsessed with Madewell at the moment but I just think they have a wonderful fall collection out right now. This bag is a great color because it can be paired with black or brown accessories. I love colors that are neutral with out necessarily being a normal "neutral". I think this bag is a great size and will be great to have on my trip to Europe this winter.

I hope you all enjoyed my birthday wishlist.

Naked2 Basics Review

Naked2 Basics

I have been a fan of the Naked Basics palette for a long time. I think the colors are so versatile and I use it for eyes, brows and liner. I was excited when I heard there would be a second Naked Basics.

I ordered this as soon as it came out. I have probably used this every day since it came in the mail. The over all quality of this palette is great. The shadows are super blend able and creamy and the packaging seems really durable. This palette (if you have never seen it) is about the size of a iPhone which makes it great for travel.

Above is a side by side comparison of the original Naked Basics. As you can tell the original (on top) has an almost white and a dark black and then some shades in-between. Naked Basics 2 (bottom) has a much more subtle shade range. It offers some cooler colors which I quite enjoy. My favorite shades from the Naked Basics 2 is "Cover" and "Undone".

I don't think, at this point, that I could choose a favorite. They are so different and I find myself using them both a lot for different reasons. Picking one would depend on what you want your end result to be. You will get a smokier look with the original palette and a more wearable every day look with the second one. You can find them both at Sephora or the Urban Decay website. ($29.00 or $17.40 with pro discount)

I hope you all enjoyed reading this post and let me know your thoughts on these palettes!

A Flawless Face with Chanel

I am a huge sucker for Chanel makeup. Yes it is super luxurious, expensive and hyped up but overall I have not been disappointed in any Chanel product I have purchased which is why I keep coming back. I have blushes, eye shadows, and lip products that I love but I wanted to talk about some of the face products that I love.

1. Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation-

  • Pros: Medium Coverage, Nice Scent, SPF 15, It has a pump, Beautiful packaging, lasts well on the skin, 16 shades to choose from, skin like finish
  • Cons: Expensive ($57.00), the scent may not be good for people with sensitive skin
Overall I would rate this foundation an 8/10. If the price tag wasn't so high, I would recommend this to everyone. It really is a beautiful foundation that feels very luxurious.

2. Chanel Vitalumiere Agua Foundation-

  • Pros: Sheer Coverage, it is a plastic package so its very light and good for traveling, looks like skin, a nice scent, SPF 15, More reasonably priced ($45.00)
  • Cons: Only 10 shades to choose from, doesn't last as well on my skin,
I would rate this foundation a 6/10. This would be a wonderful foundation for someone who is looking for the same coverage as a tinted moisturizer. It is a good foundation but I am always looking for a foundation that will last a good 10 hours on my skin. This one usually only lasts about 6 which is why I am giving it a lower score. If you don't care as much about staying power then this might work wonderfully for you. That being said, I still love the finish and I wear it a lot.

3. Chanel Correcteur Perfection Long Lasting Concealer-

  • Pros: Moisturizing, perfect color match, skin like finish, great for under eyes, medium coverage
  • Cons: Price tag ($40.00), only 6 shades offered, doesn't last as long on blemishes as it does on the under eye area.
I really like this concealer for my under eye area. It doesn't crease as long as I powder it. It is a beautiful  texture and really adds brightness to my under eye area. I do think it is a tad expensive for what it is but I am glad I have it in my collection and I use it all the time.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this post and let me know if you have any recommendations for other Chanel face products!

IM GOING TO EUROPE Makeup Shopping List

Europe Shopping List

I am going to Europe in January and there are so many things that I am excited to do and see! As a beauty blogger one of those exciting things is shopping for makeup that we do not carry here in the states. I can not wait to finally go into a "Boots" and a "Selfridges" and also explore the paris pharmacies. A few key products that I won't leave Europe with out:
  • Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Eye Shadow Palette
  • Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow
  • Bioderma
  • Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
I am sure I will also discover lots of new skin care from the French Pharmacy since they carry brands like La Roche Posay, NUXE, Avene and Bioderma.

I am new at this whole Paris and London traveling thing so let me know if there are any amazing brands that I am missing out on. I know I will do a post of all the stuff I get and I promise I will take lots of photos while I'm there!

My Favorite Fall Lipsticks

My Favorite Fall Lipsticks

I can not believe fall is right around the corner! Summer flew by and although it was wonderful, I am definitely ready for some cooler weather. I wanted to share some of my top lipstick picks for this fall.

1. Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick " Strip"- a medium toned mauve/nude. This is one of two "nude" shades I have in my collection. This reads much more brown on the lips. I love pairing this shade with a smokey eye. ($22.00)

2. Urban Decay Revolution Lisptick "Fiend" - a muted rose. I wear "muted rose" tones all the time and I especially love them for fall. ($22.00)

3. Hourglass Opaque Liquid Lipstick "Rose" - rosy neutral. These Opaque Liquid Lipsticks really are something. As long as you moisturize your lips before hand you will fall in love with this formula and the staying power of this product. ($28.00)

4. Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick "Manic" - a soft wine. If I am not wearing a muted rose, then you will find me wearing some sort of wine color. I especially love this one from urban decay. It wears so nicely and lasts such a long time on the lips. ($22.00)

5. Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Matte Lipstick "40 La Sensuelle" - a pinkish cranberry. This might be my favorite lipstick of all time. I purchased this for a good friends wedding last year and I wear it all the time. Its the perfect berry/pink shade for my skin tone. I will forever have this shade in my collection. ($35.00)

6. Bite Luminous Creme Lipstick "Tannin" - a true red. To be completely honest, I am not in love with the Bite Lipsticks. I don't think they wear very well and you have to reapply like every 2 hours. However, I think this shade in "Tannin" is really beautiful. Its what I would call an "iconic red". As long as I use a lip liner and do the tissue dab trick I can make this product work! ($24.00)

7. I know there is not a 7th swatch but this is because I have misplaced one of my very favorite lip sticks. It is "Captive" by MAC and I wear it probably 2 times a week. It is my go to shade for fall so I wanted to mention it even though I can not find it to swatch for you guys. It is a beautiful pinkish plum shade. ( $16.00)

I am challenging myself this fall to purchase some brick/ brown shades to wear. I will post some photos when I find some that work with my fair skin. If you have any recommendations please comment below.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this.

Lip Product Tag

I recently saw this tag floating around youtube and bloglovin so I decided to give it a go! I love lip products and I find that blog posts like this always help to discover new favorites :)

1. Favourite balm/treatment?

My favorite lip balm is pretty much anything from Burts Bees. I find that they are super moisturizing and always have a great scent. I use Nuxe Reve De Miel in my kit because it is a pretty matte formula, moisturizing and its easy to scoop out with a palette knife so I am not spreading germs.

2. Best eye-catching red?

I think the best eye catching red is Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in "Icon". It is a cool or blue toned red. I think it is such a classic red and a must have in your makeup collection!

3. Best luxury & best drugstore?

My favorite luxury lip products are the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Intense Long-Wear Lip Colors. My favorite shade is "La Sensuelle". My favorite drugstore lip products are a tie between Revlon Color Stay Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain and Almay Color + Care Liquid Lip Balms

4. Best MAC lipstick?

My favorite MAC lipstick is a shade called "Captive". Its a rich mauve/plum shade. It is soo pigmented and lasts forever. It is a few shades darker than my natural lip color and I just think it adds so much to my look every time I wear it.

5. The most disappointing?

My most disappointing product is the YVES SAINT LAURENT ROUGE PUR COUTURE Vernis À Lèvres Glossy Stain in shade "12". I love the color of this product but it is basically just a gloss. I don't think it leaves even a slight stain on my lips which was super disappointing.

6. Liner - yes or no?

I never wear lip liner but I always end up using lip liner on my clients. Weird right? I mean I know it helps make the lip stick last longer and it helps to define the lip shape but I think I am just to lazy to put it on myself. Some of my favorites for clients are the MAC Pro long wear and the Too Faced Perfect Lips.

7. Best gloss?

I personally am not a big gloss wearer. If I do throw one on randomly it is usually the Color + Care Almay Liquid Lip Balm. It adds moisture and it is not sticky at all.

8. Something extra!

I have two holy grail lip products that I wanted to mention. First, NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolce Vita is my absolute favorite chubby lip pencil for clients. It is such an amazing shade that looks good on so many different skin tones. Second, the Tarte Power Pigment chubby lip pencil in the shade "Blushing Bride". This is a recent love but I have worn it every single day since I purchased it. It is an amazing berry shade that goes on so smooth and is so moisturizing. I also love the tingling minty feeling this has. It is hands down my new favorite lip product

I hope you all enjoyed reading this post!

Makeup Forever Pro Finish Powder Foundation

Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Powder Foundation

I am not usually one for a powder foundation but this product has changed me for the better. Makeup Forever really has a knack for knowing what a makeup artist wants.
  • I love the formula of these pro finish foundations. They are a very soft powder and really blend into the skin seamlessly.
  • There are 20 shades in the line which makes it very easy to find a perfect shade match.
  • You can use this product by itself or over your foundation for a fuller coverage.
  • You can use a sponge, kabuki or a foundation brush to apply this product.

As you can tell, I will need to be repurchasing this product again soon. The shade that I personally use (above) is  shade 113 and I have 6 shades in my professional kit ranging from lightest to darkest.

You can purchase these at Sephora for $36.00.

I hope you found this post helpful. Let me know if you have any powder foundations that you love.

All of the Above Wish List

I know this is a totally random blog post but I was doing some online shopping and stumbled upon more than just makeup.

I was shopping on Madewell's website and I found these amazing shoes. I loves loafers and slip ons like this and I know I would wear these a ton. They are actually H by Hudson Pyrenees Loafers but I found them online at Madewell. I just think these would go with so many cute outfits. I could totally picture myself wearing these with some cuffed jeans and a loose white tank. I could also dress these up with  nice summer dress. I think I may have to own them. The good news is they are half the price right now on the H by Hudson website :)

My friend Stefani just recently told me about these Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop Eye Sticks. I have been using chubby stick eye shadows the past few weeks a ton and I think these would be a great addition to my collection. I don't quite know which shades to grab but I am sure I will be doing a review on these soon enough.

I just love my Nest Fragrance in Midnight Fleur and I have been eyeing these candles for a while. It is hard for me to justify spending so much on a candle, especially when I burn them so often. I bet it just smells incredible though. I really want the scent "Lemongrass and Ginger" classic scent. It sounds so refreshing and nice.

I have heard amazing things about these Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick. I really have no excuse for not owning at least one. I think I might just be a tad lazy. Let me know if there are any specific shades you recommend!

This NARS Yachiyo brush #27 just looks amazing. I really want this for blush or for applying a light powder application. I love unique looking products and this one just really catches my eye.

Last but not least, the item that has been on my wish list FOR EVER. I want these Ray Ban Clubmaster sunglasses so badly. I think these are so classic and wearable. My relationship with sunnies in the past has been a rough one so I have yet to purchase these. I am just so worried that I won't take good care of them. I do think I will get these soon though.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. If you enjoy posts like this I can continue to include fashion and other favorites. Thanks for reading and happy Friday!

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

If you read any beauty blogs, you would have heard of these amazing NARS concealers. These have been a huge hit in the beauty industry. A long wearing, creaseless concealer? Of course its a hit. NARS did it right with the packaging, the shade range (10 shades) and the quality of the product itself. I have 5 shades that I keep in my professional kit.

1. Chantilly (Light 1)- this is the lightest shade in the range and it is a true ivory shade for fair complexions.

2. Custard (Medium 1)- this is a yellow toned concealer for a medium complexion,

3. Honey (Light 3)- this is a warm peach tone for light to medium complexion

4, Amande (Medium/Dark 3)- this is a medium/dark concealer with golden olive undertones.

5. Cacao (Dark 2)- this is the darkest shade in the range and it is a dark shade with deep gold to brown undertones.

This is a medium to full coverage concealer. I found it works best for concealing blemishes, redness around the nose and its great to layer over a corrector for under eye concealing. As you can see in the swatch below, it is extremely pigmented and a little goes a long way.

The only time I may not use this concealer is if you have extremely dry skin or any flakiness on the skin. I would moisturize those areas really well before using this product.

Overall, this is hands down one of the best concealers I have ever used. I will probably go ahead and pick up the other 5 shades to put into my kit as well so that I can have the full line.

You you purchase this at Sephora, NARS online or at any NARS Counter. These sell for $29.00 and you get .22oz of product.
($17.40 with professional discount)

I hope that you found this helpful and if you have any holy grail concealers that you love mention them in the comments below!

Jo Malone Fragrance? Yes, please!

As I was traveling in the Bahamas this summer I stumbled upon a little makeup store. Of course I had to go in and when I did I was so pleased with what I found.
At the time, I was under the impression that I could not find Jo Malone Fragrances in the US. I had heard so many wonderful things about the perfumes and so I knew I had to bring one home with me. After trying a few I finally landed on "Peony and Blush Suede.

The website describes this perfume as:
"The essence of charm.  Peonies in voluptuous bloom, exquisitely fragile.  Flirtatious with the juicy bite of red apple and the opulence of jasmine, rose and gillyflower.  Mingling with the sensuality of soft, blush suede.  Luxurious and seductive."

With that description, how could you not give it a go?

Do you have memories of your mom or grandmother putting on there perfume and you, as a youngster, dreaming about the day you will be older and "grown up" enough to wear something fancy like them? Well for me this is that perfume. It makes me feel very grown up. The scent is classy and timeless and the packaging is beautiful.

There will be no need to reapply this fragrance through out the day because once you spray it on it will be there until you shower. On the down side, this little elegance in a bottle does come with a price tag. I purchased mine for $115.00 for the 100ML bottle (largest size). Again because I thought I could not get it in the US I wanted to buy one that would last a long time. Later I found out Jo Malone can be purchased at Nordstrom! YAY

Overall I am very pleased with this fragrance and I look forward to trying more. I hope this post was helpful and make sure to comment below and tell me some of your favorites fragrances!

My Love Affair with Marc Jacobs Beauty

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to share with you all my love affair with Marc Jacobs Beauty..

As a whole, I have been very impressed with everything I have tried thus far from the brand. It is all very pigmented, long wearing and the shade range is awesome. I will break it all down below:

Marc Jacobs Bold Blushes are my newest obsessions. I purchased these about a week ago and I have used them on a few clients. These two shades are absolutely beautiful. Reckless (left) is a rosy pink more on the mauve side. Obsessed (right) is a brighter pinky coral shade. They are both pigmented and long wearing. They add the nicest "flush" with out it looking like you swiped on some blush.  I will definitely be picking up a few more shades. ($30.00 purchased at Sephora

Marc Jacobs The Lolita Eye Shadow Palette is pretty much perfection. I did a very detailed blog post here so I won't go into to much detail but the shades are pigmented, long wearing and I love the looks you can create with this palette. ($59.00 purchased at Sephora

Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon has been my go to pencil liner. I have Blacquer 42 and Brown (out) 54. They are both amazing long wearing. They pretty much tie the NARS larger than life long wear eye liners for staying power. The one thing that I love about these liners compared to NARS is that you have a few seconds to really smudge them out before they set. So you can wear them like normal liners or smudge them out really nice for a smokey look. ($25.00 purchased at Sephora

Marc Jacobs Magic Marc'er Precision Pen Waterproof is the It is similar to the Urban Decay 24/7 liquid liner or Kat Von D tattoo liner in that it lasts forever. It is actually hard to get off at the end of the day. Its blacker than black and amazing. It was designed based on a calligraphy pen and it can make very thin lines or thicker lines depending on how you use it. ($30.00 purchased at Sephora)

Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Cover Concealer is a medium to full coverage under eye concealer. I do not believe it is advertised as an under eye concealer but it has a slight peachy tint to it that helps to cancel out dark under eye circles. This shade (awake 1) is a perfect match for my skin tone and I really enjoy the coverage it gives. My only complaint is that I wish it lasted a little bit longer on my skin. I get about a 6 hour wear out of this concealer.  ($32.00 purchased at Sephora)

Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer in 152 Bark! is one of my favorite nail colors at the moment. This rich dark brown is lovely with the shiny finish. I believe this shade is limited edition and when I saw it in the store I just had to try it. I am so happy with this product. I have been wearing this shade for 3 days with no top coat and it hasn't chipped at all. I had heard great things about this polish and I really believe it lives up to the hype. I know it is expensive for a nail polish but if you ever feel like treating yourself I would go and try one of the 27 shades he has to offer.   ($18.00 purchased at Sephora)

I truly haven't been disappointed in any of the products I have purchased from this brand. I know I need to branch out and try some of the lip products but for some reason lip products are always the last items I try from brands. Below are some swatches of the blushes and gel liners.

I hope you found this post helpful! Let me know some of your favorite products from Marc Jacobs.

Lancome Lip Lover

Hello Everyone
I haven't tried many Lancome Products but these new lip products may change that! The Lancome Lip Lover is a highly pigmented gloss that also acts as a stain.

First, how adorable is the packaging? I love the colors, font and the little button to open it. Second, they are pretty reasonable priced at $23.00. For a high end lip product that is on the cheaper side. Third, the color range is great! Sephora carries 14 shades (which I am assuming is the whole range) and they are all beautiful and wearable shades.

Below are the swatches:

-"332 Beige Adage (left)- a Rosy pink/nude". This shade is significantly more pink when applied to the lips. Its more of a nice medium pink

-"321 Rose Centre-Temps (middle)- Rose Pink". This has a nice mauve tone to it. Its a little deeper yet still bright and fresh. I have used this a ton on bridesmaids this season!

-"355 Framboise Etoile (right)- Berry pink". I would describe this more as a bright pink. This is my personal shade and I wear it all the time.

The shine/balm feeling lasts about 4 hours and then a stained, moisturized lip lasts well over another 4 hours.

You can purchase these at Sephora or at any Lancome counter.

I would highly recommend this lip product to anyone. I know I am super impressed and my clients have really enjoyed them also!

I hope this was helpful :)

Clear Skin and Midnight Fleur

Hello Everyone!

I went to Sephora this week to add some products to my skin care regime. My skin has been breaking out a lot lately and I feel like the cleanser, moisturizer, spot treatment that I have right now just isn't working for me.

I purchased three skin care items and a new perfume.

1. Clinique take the day off cleansing balm ($28.50)-

I purchased this product after watching this video . I love Tanya Burr's videos and she always talks me into getting new products! This is a cleansing balm that helps to remove all of your makeup and get rid of an excess dirt. This is a pomade type consistency that then turns into an oily consistency (so I have heard). I have been eyeing this product for a long time and I can't wait to finally try it!

2. Boscia Balancing Facial Tonic ($24.00)-

I have read more than a handful of blog posts lately talking about the importance of toners and it has started making me feel quilty. I always use toners on my clients but for some reason I never use them on myself. I decided to get in the habit of using one. I have heard great reviews on this brand and this product specifically so I am excited to start using it. ( If you would like me to do a blog post on the purpose's of toners I would be happy to do so! )

3. Origins Super Spot Remover ($15.00)-

I have also heard amazing reviews on this acne treatment. Yes this is the worlds tiniest bottle but you only use the tiniest amount of product so hopefully it lasts me a long time! I purchased this one because of the salicylic acid. This ingredient works much better than benzoyl peroxide for my skin. ( I am actually slightly allergic to the benzoyl peroxide.)  I have had a few major bumps lately that just seem to want to hang out for a while so hopefully this will take care of them :)

4. Nest Fragrances "Midnight Fleur" ($65.00) -

First off... THIS PACKAGING... Could it be any more gorgeous? Second this scent is absolutely amazing. It is described on the website as "Exotic Woods, Black Amber, Patchouli, Night-Blooming Jasmine, Vanilla Orchid." I am no fragrance guru so I am not really sure what some of these ingredients are but I will say that I am in love with this scent. Its girly and light and I just can't stop smelling myself.. Which is funny yet slightly weird. I still love my Chanel and Elizabeth and James but this is just amazing.

Let me know if you have tried any of these products or any others from the brands mentioned.

I hope this was helpful :)

24/7 Tints Kit by Becca

Hey Everyone!
I was reading Temptalias post and I wanted to share this info with my readers as well!

I love Becca products and I have had great success with them. I am excited about this kit because its such a great way to try different shades of the tints. Here is what the website says:

What it is:
A set of two Becca 24/7 Tints™ for eyes and cheeks that deliver natural-looking color—day and night.

What it does:
24/7 Tints features a blendable kit with two Beach Tints and two Eye Tints to give natural-looking color to eyes and cheeks. They’re infused with vitamin E-rich, oil-free formulas to soothe skin, and they’re water-resistant and streak-free for stay-put hues.

This set contains:
- 2 x 0.24 oz. Eye Tint in Romanticism (mauve bronze), Gilt (golden bronze)
- 2 x 0.24 oz. Beach Tint in Raspberry (deep berry pink), Grapefruit (pale coral pink)

This is a limited edition kit exclusive to Sephora.

Seems like great products for those summer beach trips and pool days. This product is only available to VIB rouge members at Sephora as of right now but hopefully sometime in June they will be available to everyone!

Also, the Becca shimmering skin perfecter is an amazing highlighter if you are searching through the brand you should check that out as well! :)

I hope this was helpful :)
