Makeup Travel Bag

Hello Everyone!
For Christmas this year I received a few Sephora gift cards! As I was shopping around yesterday I found myself really drawn to the makeup bags. This may be because my amazing boyfriend booked us a trip to New York City and we leave tomorrow morning!!! Can you tell I am so excited?? Anyways, I did not have a good makeup bag to travel with so I decided to invest in one!

I found this gem and decided it would be perfect! This is called "The Excursionist" and it is a quilted pleather bag. I purchased this at Sephora and the price is $48.00.

This bag folds out and it has 3 main compartments. The bottom compartment is a large zip pouch that is permanently attached to the makeup bag.

I decided to use this pouch as a "single item" bag. This holds my lip products, concealers, eye liners, mascaras, single eye shadows etc. I was really surprised how much this compartment holds! As you can see right above this compartment is a space for makeup brushes. I have not packed those yet because I will want to use them today and tomorrow morning before we go to the airport! You could also use that space for eye liners or lip liners!

The middle compartment is about the same size. It is removable and attaches with velcro to this makeup bag. I decided to use this compartment for foundations, powders, blushes and any other powder product that I use. This also holds quite a lot! Above this pouch there are more spaces for brushes!

Last but not least is the top pouch. It is a large mesh pouch that is PERFECT for palettes. I have the Naked 2 palette, the Marc Jacobs "Lolita" palette, theBalm "Nude Tude" palette, the Naked Basics palette, and the trio from Sigma that they sent me for joining the Pro program. I also threw in some individual lashes to take. I could probably fit at least one more of the naked palettes in this pouch. It is very spacious.

Overall I am super happy with this purchase! It is exactly what I needed and I think it will make traveling a whole lot easier!

If you all would like to know my "must have" travel makeup products let me know and I can do a post on it!!

I hope this was helpful :)

My Foundation Collection

Hello Everyone!
Foundation is a product that I am very passionate about. I probably try more foundations then any other makeup product. I feel like if the skin doesn't look good the rest of the makeup won't look good. This being said, I would like to share with you all the foundations that I currently own.

These are the things I look for in a foundation:
1. Staying Power: If I apply a foundation in the morning I expect a minimum of 6 hours with perfect wear. There is nothing more irritating then a foundation that breaks down within a few hours.
2. Coverage: I prefer a fuller coverage foundation. I think tinted moisturizers are great for the right people but personally, I want a flawless clean complexion most days.
3. Finish: I like a foundation to have a natural finish. Then that gives me the option for a more dewy look or I can powder it for a matte look.

I will rate these foundations according to the three things I look for and you can decide how you feel about them based on what is most important to you when you look for a foundation!

1. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation ($44.00) is a sheer to buildable foundation with a natural finish. I purchased this foundation because a lot of you tubers raved about it. I would say if falls somewhere in the middle for me. I think the staying power is okay. I really like the way this looks on my skin although I feel like the "glow" really isn't there. This product does not have a pump which is annoying because it is a pricier foundation. I would rate this product:

Coverage: 7/10
Finish: 8/10
Staying power: 6/10

2. YSL Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation ( $55.00) is a sheer to buildable foundation with a natural finish. Out of all of my foundations this has the sheerest coverage. That being said, I really love the finish and over all feel of this foundation. Yes I do have to do a bit more concealing but it is just so beautiful. The staying power is not great though. It lasts maybe 4 hours which is really terrible. I usually only wear this foundation if we are going out to dinner or doing some sort of activity at night. I would not wear this as my all day foundation. This product does have a pump on it. I would rate this product:

Coverage: 6/10
Finish: 9/10
Staying power: 5/10
3. Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation ($55.00) is a sheer to medium with buildable coverage foundation. This has a dewy finish but easily matted out with a powder.  I love this foundation. I think it is so beautiful on the skin, it smells amazing and lasts a pretty good amount of time. Unfortunately at the moment it is slightly too dark for me so I have not been wearing it as much lately but its a lovely foundation. This product does have a pump on it. I would rate this product:

Coverage: 8/10
Finish: 8/10
Staying power: 7/10
4. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation ( $43.00) is a medium with buildable coverage foundation. This product has a natural finish and lasts pretty well on the skin! It photographs beautifully and is great for special events. I think the packaging of this product is wonderful. It is great for traveling or for pro makeup artists to keep in there kit. This product is also a tad bit too dark for me at the moment but come summer time I will be wearing this foundation a ton! I would rate this product:

Coverage: 9/10
Finish: 8/10
Staying power: 8/10
5. Makeup Forever HD Foundation ($42.00) is a sheer to medium foundation. It leaves a semi-matte finish on the skin. I have about 10 shades of this foundation because I use it in my professional kit as well. I think this is a great product. It looks really natural on the skin, it lasts a good amount of time and it looks great on camera. That being said, I would not use this on someone with dry skin or on someone with a lot of imperfections. It will even out the skin tone and cover minor imperfections but it is not by any means a full coverage foundation. I love using using this foundation on men for film/tv work. I also enjoy wearing this foundation and I have found myself using it a lot lately. I would rate this product:

Coverage: 7/10
Finish: 7/10
Staying power: 8/10
6. Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation ($4.97) is a medium to full coverage foundation. It has a semi matte finish. This is one of my favorite foundations. It literally lasts 8-10 hours easy on my skin. I reach for this product a lot when I know I will be on set for a long time. It evens out my skin tone and covers most of my imperfections. I think this foundation is such a steal and if you do not have it in your collection already you should go out and get it! I would rate this product:

Coverage: 9/10
Finish: 8/10
Staying power: 9/10

7. Revlon Colorstay Foundation ( $10.00) is a medium to full coverage foundation. It has a natural finish and the staying power is incredible. If I had to chose a favorite foundation this would probably be it. It covers flawlessly and it seriously lasts 10+ hours. I can not speak highly enough of this product. If this product had a pump it would be the worlds most perfect foundation. I would rate this product:

Coverage: 9/10
Finish: 8/10
Staying power: 10/10

8. Rimmel Clean Finish Matte Foundation ( $4.97) is a medium coverage foundation. It is truly a totally matte finish. I could only imagine this would be a great product for oily skin. The staying power could be better and could be worse. It probably lasts 6-8 hours depending on your skin type. This foundation seems to be hard to find. I purchased this at Walmart and I have not seen it anywhere else. I would rate this product:

Coverage: 7/10
Finish: 7/10
Staying power: 6/10
9. Covergirl Trublend Foundation ($9.00) is a sheer to buildable coverage foundation. This is my newest addition to my foundation collection. I purchased this at CVS when it was half off because I read that it was a dupe for the NARS Sheer Glow foundation. I do not think this is a dupe for NARS and I honestly don't find that I like much about this foundation. The coverage is okay (kinda splotchy), the staying power is maybe 4-5 hours, and the finish is just bleh. I felt like it did not blend in to my skin that well and instead sat on top of my skin. I am going to keep trying this one out and see if I can find a good way to use it. As of right now I would rate this product:

Coverage: 4/10
Finish: 4/10
Staying power: 3/10
10. Maybelline Fit Me Foundation ($7.00) is a sheer to buildable foundation. I have had this foundation for ever it seems. This has a natural finish and lasts an okay amount of time maybe 5-6 hours. I honestly do not reach for this foundation that much. I tend to wear it if I am just hanging out around the house and I feel like wearing makeup. I would never choose this foundation over any of the ones mentioned above (except trublend). I would not repurchase this product but I would also not throw it away.. I would rate this product:

Coverage: 5/10
Finish: 6/10
Staying power: 5/10

REMEMBER these are MY opinions only. You may love a foundation I dislike or vice versa. These foundations are my personal foundations that I use on a day to day basis. I carry Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Makeup Forever, MUD and Graftobian Cream foundations in my PRO kit. If you would like me to do a review on those comment below and let me know! I am waiting to use up some of these before I go out and purchase new ones. I have been checking out Urban Decay Naked, Chanel Matte Lumiere, Revlon Nearly Naked, and Smashbox HD.

It may seem like I only buy sheer to medium foundations even though I prefer full coverage. I do use Makeup Forevers Pro Finish powder foundation to top of most of these foundations. This adds that little bit of extra coverage that I want.

I also ALWAYS use a primer and a setting powder when I wear foundation (unless I am shooting for a dewy finish which is hardly ever). When you use a primer and a setting powder this sets your makeup which helps it last longer.

I know this was a long post but I hope it was helpful :)

Chanel Cream Eye Shadow in " Epatant"

Hello Everyone!

I recently discovered Chanel's cream eye shadows on black Friday. I don't really know why I have not looked at these shadows before but I am very excited to have discovered them. I chose the shade "Epatant" because I do not have anything like this in my collection.

It is a greenish taupe with lots of shimmer. I do not usually gravitate towards shimmery eye shadow but since it is the holiday season I decided to give it a shot! I must say, this product is pretty incredible. It is highly pigmented and lasted well over 8 hours on my eyes. I love this unigue shade and I would highly recommend it to anyone! It does have A LOT of shimmer so if you are one that does not like shimmer I would probably stay away from this product.

I paired this product with a deeper matte brown eye shadow in the crease and a brown liner. It is such an easy way to glam up your eyes this holiday season!! I have a feeling I will be purchasing a few more of these in the near future.

Price: $36.00 and can be purchased here.

I hope this was helpful :)

My Lip Balm Collection

Hello Everyone!
I don't know about you but these colder days have definitely taken a toll on my lips! I find myself reaching for my lip balms every morning and every night! I wanted to share with you some of my favs!

1. EOS Lip Balm
I really like these lip balms! They are so easy to apply and I find myself reaching for this one a lot. I tend to use this one in the morning before I apply my makeup. These come in tons of different "flavors" and colors. I believe this one is lemon yum :)  ($2.99)

2. Nivea Lip Butter in Rasberry Rose Kiss
This is the newest addition to my lip balm collection. I really like the way this one smells and feels on my lips. I find that it lasts a good while as well. I will probably keep this one in my purse from now so I can have access to it all day! ($2.99)

3. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Sugar and Sugar Rose
I received these as a gift with purchase and I must say they are quite nice! "Sugar" is a clear balm and "Sugar Rose" is a pinkish red tinted lip balm. I have been reaching for "Sugar Rose" when I am not in the mood to wear any other lip products. It adds a light red tint to my lips. They are both really moisturizing and smell great! That being said, these are quite pricey and I am not sure that I would repurchase them when I run out. They are lovely but so are a lot of other drugstore lip balms. ($22.50)

4. Carmex
This is definitely the least glamorous of the bunch but my go to lip product when I have super chapped lips. I have been using this for years and I love it! I always apply this one at night after applying my night cream. It works, its cheap and it lasts forever. What more could you want? ($1.39)

1. Dior Creme De Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm

I know this is a crazy thing to want because I have so many great lip balms already but I have heard such great things about this product! The packaging is adorable and I am sure it smells delicious. Maybe when I run out of one I will splurge and try this :)  ($27.00)

Dior - Crème de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm

I am almost done with my holiday shopping! It is exciting and sad at the same time. Christmas shopping is most definitely one of my favorite things to do!! We also completed decorating our tree on Tuesday. Its so cute :)

I hope this was helpful!

Christmas GIft Ideas

Hello Everyone!
Are you wondering what to get that special lady in your life? Maybe a sister or even your mom? Beauty related gifts are always great gifts! Below I have listed some of my favorites products that I think would make super great gifts!

1. Any Urban Decay Palette!

There are so many amazing palettes to chose from when it comes to Urban Decay. If you are looking for neutral colors I would recommend any of the four Naked palettes. They are incredibly pigmented and so versatile! If that person you are shopping for is a bit more on the edgy side, the Smoked palette will definitely be the way to go! Such beautiful bold colors!! ($52.00 for Naked and $49.00 for Smoked)

 2. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Mini Lip Tar Set
If you are shopping for someone who loves to experiment with bold lips, this mini lip tar set is the bomb! If you have never used this product, you should! It is the longest wearing lip product I have ever found. You only use a tiny tiny amount so these minis will last you forever!! A great gift or stocking stuffer :)   ($20.00)

3. Sigma Mr. Bunny Collection
The Mr. Bunny collection is a great gift for any beauty lover! It comes with 12 brushes with a range from eye to face brushes. This is a great brush set with pretty much everything you would need to complete a makeup look! These are great brushes that will last you forever. ( $155.00)

4. Glam Glow Face Mask
If you are shopping for someone that enjoys facials or loves discovering new skin care products, the Glam Glow masks are incredible!! After using this once my skin was noticeably clearer and my skin was glowing! Pricey for a face mask? Yes pretty pricey, but it would make a great gift!! ($69.00)

5. Laura Mercier Souffle Body Cream Sampler Set
I went to the Laura Mercier counter the other day to check out some of the holiday collections and I saw this sampler set. These lotions smelled incredible and felt so amazing when I applied them to my hands. This would be such an amazing gift for any woman in your life! So luxurious :)  ($60.00)

6. Capri Blue Mercury Glass Jar Candle from Anthropologie
I just recently purchased this candle from Anthropologie (mostly because of how beautiful the packaging is) and I am obsessed with it! I keep it next to my bed and love how incredible it smells. When it burns, it fills the entire apartment with the most amazing scent. It is definitely one of my new favorite candles and I think it would be an incredible gift. ($28.00)

I know holiday shopping can be fairly stressful so I hope this has helped. I know that if I received any of the above I would be sooo happy! If you have any other great gift ideas comment below and let me know! I hope you all have had a wonderful December so far :)

I hope this was helpful!

November Favorites

Hello Everyone!
I can not believe how fast November flew by! I had a wonderful month and a great thanksgiving. Anyways, I have a few new favorites this month and I wanted to share them with you guys!

1. Make-Up Forever HD Foundation in shade 117. I go through phases of loving this foundation and this month was one of those phases. I was using this foundation like crazy! I was really enjoying pairing this medium coverage foundation with the Pro Finish powder foundation from Make-Up Forever. It was a perfect combo!

2. MAC Studio Finish Concealer in shade NW20. I have been using this concealer a bunch over the past few months and I really like the way it brightens my under eye area. It is a warm toned concealer which helps conceal the darkness in the inner corners. I only use this product with a fine milled setting powder. It creases really bad otherwise.

3. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Fair. I have been using this as a concealer/highlight duo. I place this under my eye all the way out to the end of my cheek bone. I also place it down the center of my nose, my cupids bow, and on my chin. This creates dimension in my face. It is also a great brightening concealer for the inner corner of the eye.

4. Dior Lipstick in shade 578. I received this lipstick as a 500 point perk at sephora. I am in love with this pink shade from Dior. It is described as a sheer dark pink. The smooth texture lasts on the lips for about 4 hours but then it leaves a stain on the lips for hours after. I love this color and I love this packaging! I will definitely need to try more Dior lipsticks from this line! LOVE

I know there weren't tons of new favorites this month but I hope this was helpful!! I have purchased a few new products recently so I am sure my December Favorites will be much longer :)

Let me know what some of your favorites have been this month!

I hope this was helpful :)

The Princess Tag: My favorite high end products

Hello Everyone!
For those of you who aren't familiar, the "Princess Tag" is your favorite high end/ luxury products. I like both high end and drug store makeup but every now and then it is fun to splurge on a luxury beauty product! I thought this would be an appropriate post due to the fact that tomorrow is black Friday and there will be some great sales!!  Here are my favorites:

1. Foundation: My favorite high end foundation at the moment is the YSL Touche Eclat foundation. I love the natural finish. The coverage is light to medium but I find that it is buildable. The staying power isn't great but I always use setting powder which helps make it last longer. For the best results, I apply this with my fingers or with my beauty blender. I purchased this at Sephora and the price is $55.00.

2. Concealer: I think my favorite high end concealer is the Bobbi Brown concealers and correctors. They are so pigmented and cover flawlessly. I use the BBU palette in my pro kit which is all of her correctors and concealers in one palette. I do not own an individual concealer so I will post a picture of what the individual one looks like. You can purchase this at Sephora or and Bobbi Brown counter. The price of the individual size is $33.00 and you get a concealer (left) and a setting powder (right). The price of the BBU Palette is $250.00 and $150.00 with the pro discount. I love these products and I highly recommend them.
Bobbi Brown - Creamy Concealer KitBBU Palette

3. Powder: My favorite powder at the moment is Make Up Forever Pro Finish Powder Foundation. I love this powder because it helps set my makeup and it adds coverage. I also like this powder because when I apply it to the skin it does not look to powdery. You can apply this product dry for a light application or wet for a fuller application. This product is fairly new to me and it has quickly become a staple! I purchased this at Sephora and it was $36.00.  They also have an amazing color range which is great.

4. Bronzer: My favorite high end bronzer is Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder "Medium". This is by far the best contouring product out for fair-medium skin tones. It is a cool toned brown which is the absolute perfect color. It does not make your skin look orange at all! The annoying part about this product is that it is kind of hard to find. I will link you to Nigels Beauty Emporium which is where I ordered the product from. As you can see I tried to depot this product and it cracked. I am so happy with this product and it is a staple in my personal makeup kit and in my professional kit! The price of this product is $44.00.

5. Blush: My favorite blush (and this is a recent discovery) has to be NARS blushes. I know I am late in this discovery but I recently purchased the Guy Bourdin blush palette and I have fallen in love with every color. The colors are just pigmented enough to add a warm flush to the skin but not so pigmented that I place a streak of color across my face. I purchased this palette at Sephora but it seems it is sold out at the moment. If you are lucky enough to find it in store then definitely pick it up! If not then buying any individual blush from NARS will do! You can purchase them at Sephora for $29.00 a piece. The shade "Orgasm" (yes I know...) is a very popular choice!

6. Highlighter: My favorite highlight at the moment is actually from the NARS palette above. The shade is "Devotee" and it is the perfect shade for my fair skin. I do not believe that this shade is sold individually but I have heard that the shade "Albastross" by NARS is pretty similar.

7. Eye Shadow: My favorite high end eye shadow at the moment is Marc Jacobs "The Lolita" palette. I love the variety of matte shades and shimmery shades this offers. This product is very pigmented and lasts a long time on my eyes. This palettes comes with 7 shades. It is $59.00 and I purchased it at Sephora.

8. Eye Liner: My favorite eye liner would be Urban Decay 24/7 waterproof liquid eye liner. I have never found another eye liner that lasts as long as this one. I have actually fallen asleep wearing this and when I woke up it was perfectly in tact. It is pretty incredible stuff! It is $19.00 and it comes in like 12 shades!  You can purchase this on the Urban Decay website or at Sephora.
Urban Decay - 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

9. Mascara: My favorite high end mascara is a tie between Diorshow Blackout and Lancome Hypnose Drama. Diorshow Blackout is great because it adds volume instantly. I love how black it is and it does not flake. I dislike how quickly it builds onto itself. I feel like sometimes I end up with like 3 lashes because it gets so chunky. Lancome Hypnose drama is great because it builds on itself nicely with out getting chunky on my lashes. I love the shape of the brush and the packaging as well. If I had to choose one it would probably be the Diorshow Blackout. I think I have the method of applying it down now and it really is a great mascara! It sells for $25.00. I bought this at Sephora.

10. Lipstick: I have to be honest with this one and say I am not sure. I have not tried a ton of high end lipsticks. I will give you a list of some good ones but I just can't pick an absolute favorite high end lipstick at the moment.

*Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick  (great range from neutral to bright)
*Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color  (great neutrals)
* MAC (amazing color range as well as tons of different finishes)
* Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars (amazing for bright colors)

I will try and narrow it down to one but I can not make any promises :)

These are some of my favorite high end products! I hope this will be helpful on your black Friday shopping day!! :)

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Matte Lipstick " La Sensuelle 40"

Hello Everyone!
I recently discovered the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Matte Lipsticks. I purchased this color for a wedding I attended and I must say I was very impressed with the finish, the comfort, and the longevity of this lipstick.

This is my first Chanel lipstick I have owned. I chose this color because it was super flattering on my fair skin. It is a berry color that has a little bit of red and a little bit of pink!

I LOVE the packaging of Chanel lipsticks. They are slightly weighted and the combination of black and gold feel very luxurious.

I think this is the perfect color for the fall and for the holidays! I wear this color a ton and I find that it lasts for at least 6 hours. When this color fades, it seems to fade very evenly giving the lips a stained effect. I know this is advertised as a "matte" lipstick but this does seem to have a bit of a sheen on the lips. I feel like it is more of a semi matte finish.

This lipstick is $34.00 and can be purchased at any Chanel counter or online.

I know this lipstick is very pricey but I definitely do not regret purchasing it! Would I go out and buy a bunch more colors right now? No,  I would only spend this much money on lipstick for a special occasion but I am so glad that I have it and I am so excited to wear it to holiday party's   :)

If you are on the hunt for a new every day lipstick, I would definitely check out this line of velvet matte lipsticks. They are super comfortable on the lips and if you are wearing it every day then it would definitely be worth the price!

I hope this was helpful!

HAUL: 20% off VIB at Sephora

Hello Everyone!
If you are a frequent shopper at Sephora then you know how exciting it is when they have sales. The VIB (very important beauty insider) 20% off sale is the highlight of my year at Sephora. I only buy items at Sephora from high end cosmetic lines that do not offer pro discounts. This is why this haul is pretty much all high end items. Some of you may be thinking, you can get a NARS and MUFE pro discount.. Yes I know and this was me being lazy and not wanting to order products online.. haha

All I can say is "Oops". I did not mean to spend so much money but I honestly knew I was going to end up buying all of these products anyways so I thought I might as well buy them when I get 20 % off..

1. Murad Clarifying body spray
I have been wanting this for a long time ever since I saw a video about it on you tube. I was holding off because it was pricey but I am glad I finally took the plunge. I have been loving Murad skin care lately! I also purchased the spot treatment a few weeks ago.

2. YSL "Le Teint Touche Eclat" Illuminating Foundation
I have heard great things about this foundation and finally decided to go for it. I think I found a pretty excellent color match so I am very excited about it :) Can you believe this purchase was my very first YSL product?? I know I was very excited about this..

3. Nars "Skin Smoothing Face Prep"
I have never heard of this product before but I was very intrigued when I felt how smooth it was on my hand. I have a very specific plan for this product. I am looking for something to reduce smile lines and fine lines under the eye. I hope this works!

5. Diorshow "Black out" Mascara
Dior seems to be ground breaking in the mascara department. I have been very curious and decided to try one for myself. Looking forward to trying this mascara.

 6. Makeup Forever "Pro-Finish" Powder Foundation
I have been on the hunt for a great powder foundation, mostly for my male clients. I decided to try this one out due to the amazing reviews. I hope this is pro kit worthy!!

7. Bobbi Brown Gel Eye Liner in "Black Ink"
This is a industry standard as far as gel eye liners are concerned. I don't know a single makeup artist who doesn't have this in there kit (except for me up until today). I had purchased one from MAC for my kit when I first started and I was trying to hold off on buying this until I used the MAC one up. I then had a client on Tuesday with insanely oily eye lids and the MAC liner just failed on me. I am so glad I have this one in my kit now :)

8. NARS Guy Bourdin "One Night Stand" Cheek Palette
Last but certainly not least is this incredible NARS cheek palette. I have miscellaneous NARS products and everything I own from this brand is a great product. I decided to take the plunge with there blushes as well. I actually had a blush from NARS that I purchased a few weeks ago and that went MIA on a wedding I did that weekend.. hmmm. I am very happy about this purchase though and ready to fall in love with all of these colors.

The Lancome pot that you see is a sample of the moisturizer.. Ill let you know what I think. I also got a Dior lipstick and perfume sample as a point reward. I also got a glam glow face mask sample which is actually what I am most excited to try!!

I know this seems crazy, but I buy these products because I do this for a living and because I review these products for you guys! I always like trying new things to make sure I have the best products possible in my professional kit and sometimes that means I need to invest in some high end products!!

I will try and do a review on all of these products over the next few months!

I hope this was helpful!

October Favorites

Hello Everyone!
My apologies for being MIA this past month. It was an extremely busy month filled with Netherworld, Weddings, TV shoots, Headshots and Halloween makeups. CRAZY! Now that I have a few days here and there to blog, I will hopefully be able to start posting more regularly!

I know we are already a week into November but I have a few favorites from October that I want to share with you guys!!

1. "Scandal Eyes" Eye Liner  by Rimmel London
I saw a video on youtube the other day about Rimmel products and this eye liner was compared to Urban Decay 24/7 liners. I had to try some so I purchased the brown and black at CVS. I must say these eye liners are extremely pigmented and long lasting!! I believe they are only $3.99 also.. What a steal!! The only issue I have with these is that they don't last very long in the waterline. I have this same issue with Urban Decay 24/7 eye liners as well. That being said, they last a very long time when applied to the lash line and for the price you can't beat it!

2. "They're Real" Mascara by Benefit Cosmetics
I have had this mascara for a very long time. I feel like I always have 2 or 3 sample sizes in my collection for some reason. I recently ran out of the Maybelline mascara I was using and decided to try this one out again. The second I used it I fell in love with it! It lengthens and adds volume! It lasts all day and I haven't noticed any sort of flaking. LOVE this and I am so excited that I rediscovered it.

3. "Naked Basics" Palette by Urban Decay

I had abandoned this palette for a while and I am not really sure why.. I started using this again this month and it has been my go to palette. I have been wearing brighter lip colors this month so I find myself reaching for a neutral matte palette to pair with the lip color. These colors are perfect for adding dimension to the eye with out adding color. I have been using "Foxy" on my lid, "Naked" in my crease, and "Faint" in the outer corner. If I am going out I may add a little bit of "Crave" for a more dramatic effect.

4. "Cabana Boy" blush by The Balm

I placed in order on Hautelook for some items from The Balm. I purchased this blush for only $12 and it was such a great purchase. I love this berry toned blush for this time of year. It adds such a nice glow to this skin and coincides beautifully with my berry toned lipsticks I have been wearing . The pigmentation is great and the staying power is nice too! This may be my very favorite blush at the moment :)

5. "The Balm Jovi" palette by The Balm
I have thoroughly enjoyed having this palette in my collection! It has 12 eye shadows, one highlight, one blush, and two lip/cheek duos. I have been using "Iron Main-in" as a quick all over the lid color and the 4 matte colors as basic eye looks. I am obsessed with this highlight "disco disco". I have worn it pretty much every day. The lip/cheek duo's are just alright, nothing to special. The blush is really pretty! It will be great for spring. All around this palette has great staying power, nice pigmentation and a great variety of colors to work with. It is amazing to travel with. This palette will not disappoint.

This month of October has been great! I am so excited about the cooler weather and the leaves changing. Fall is definitely my favorite time of year :) I have a HAUL blog post coming to you next so stay tuned!!

I hope this was helpful :)

Lorac Pro Palette

Hello Everyone!!
I am so happy to finally have a blog post for you guys on this amazing eye shadow palette. I purchased the Lorac Pro Palette at Ulta about two weeks ago. This palette is only $42.00 and you get 16 different shades.

Can you tell this palette has been very loved? Like I said I only purchased this two weeks ago and I have used it on every single job since. I am obsessed.

The top row of this palette is all matte shadows. They range from white (far left) to black (far right) and everything in between. You have 3 great highlights and great crease colors as well.

The bottom row is all satin finish. None of the shadows on the bottom row have "chunks" of glitter which is great. Some of my favorites from this palette are "Mauve", "Pewter", and "Garnet".

All of the colors are so rich and wearable. I love that this palette has warm and cool colors. It basically combines Naked and Naked 2 for me. The only color I feel is missing is an army green satin finish eye shadow. I would love to have a deep green mixed into that bottom row.

My overall impression of this palette is that it is a MUST HAVE for every makeup artist and anyone on the market for a new eye palette. Every shadow is so pigmented, they last for ages on your eyes and you can seriously create any look with this palette. That being said make sure you tap of your brush before applying to the eye because it can have some fall out if you don't.

I have never been happier with a makeup purchase and I would highly recommend this to anyone.

You can purchase it here.

I hope this was helpful :)

September Favorites

Hello Everyone!
I am sorry I have been MIA this past week. It has been a crazy week full of work and my 21st birthday :)

Anyways, I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite products this month!!

1. Physicians Formula Felt Tip Eye Marker:

I love this eye liner!! It has been one of the best felt tipped eye liners I have found at the drugstore. It reminds me a lot of the Kat Von D tattoo liner. I have been using this product a lot this month and I would highly recommend trying it for yourself!!

2. Milani Baked Blush "Red Vino"
The slight change in weather this month has inspired me to reach for fall shades. This baked blush is a really beautiful berry color that looks stunning with any eye look. The gold that is intertwined in this blush adds a really pretty glow to the skin. This is also a product I would highly recommend trying.

3. Marc Jacobs Eye Shadow Palette in "Lolita"

I purchased this palette when the Marc Jacobs makeup line launched. I have used it a ton. I love the neutral shades that are offered. That being said, if you already have the Naked Palette, Lorac Pro Palette or any other great neutral palette this is not a necessity. If you are looking for a new palette or obsessed with neutral palettes like I am, then I would definitely give this palette a go!!

4.Cover FX Mattifying Primer
This was actually kind of a random purchase, but I am so glad that I made the decision to buy this. It leaves the skin feeling so smooth and soft. I have also noticed that it really helps my foundation to last a lot longer. I bought this from Sephora and I really want to go and buy the anti-aging primer by Cover FX as well. LOVE this :)

5. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer
This product has been featured on this blog a lot. I still use it every single day. I love the color payoff, staying powder and how it brightens up my face so much. It is my go to under eye concealer and I don't see that changing any time soon.

6.  Makeup Forever HD Foundation
I have been using this foundation a ton this month! My skin has finally cleared up a bit and this foundation foundation has been perfect for a sheer coverage but still covering any imperfections. I use this a lot on clients but have really enjoyed using it on myself   :)

7. Murad Clarifying Cleanser

This cleanser has been a life saver and a game changer. Last month was an extremely sad and stressful time in my life and due to the stress and lack of sleep my skin went CRAZY. I broke out like crazy around my chin and my skin was just a mess. I bought this from Sephora in hopes that it would help at least a little. This face wash cleared up my skin completely in less than 2 weeks. It has seriously worked better than I could have ever imagined any face wash working.

I hope this was helpful :)
