Feeling Like Summer with Poppy Picnic Palette

Feeling like summer with Poppy Picnic

I have to admit, I purchased this palette only because of its packaging. This stunning neon floral pattern caught my eye and I knew I needed it to be a part of my makeup collection.  That being said I have fallen in love with this palette.

The Tarte Poppy Picnic Limited Edition Amazonian Clay Eye and Cheek Palette is one that should not be overlooked. With six beautiful matte eye shadows and a gorgeous peachy pink blush this palette is perfect for neutral lovers.

Shades in this palette:
         - Summer Breeze- light cream
         - Sweat Tea- warm tan
         - Ice Cream Cone- chocolate brown
         - Barefoot in the Grass- nude
         - Peach Poppy- pinky peach  (my favorite shade)
         - Picnic Basket- brown

         - Glisten- golden peachy pink

Indoor Lighting Swatches:

Direct Sunlight Swatches:

These are very good quality eye shadows and they blend seamlessly. If you don’t already own the “Naked Basics” palettes or something like it, I would highly suggest picking up this palette. This palette is limited edition so if you are interested I would grab it sooner rather than later.

I hope this was helpful and thanks for reading!

Packing for a Trip: Beauty Edition

Packing for a Trip: Beauty Edition

I have been traveling a bit over the last few months and it inspired me to do a post on some of my go to items that I choose to travel with.

1. Lorac Unzipped Palette: I like traveling with this palette because it gives my tons of variety within one palette. I also like it because the packaging is thin and it slips right down into my makeup bag with out taking up to much space. Other good palettes: NARSissist Palette, Lorac Pro Palette and Lise Watier Palette Rivages.

2. Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation: This is a great foundation for travel because of the plastic packaging. I don't have to worry about glass bottles breaking in my makeup bag and ruining my other products. I also love the finish and formula of this product, which is a win win!

3. Makeup Brushes: I try to only pack a few brushes that work for many different things. I like this mac brush because I can use it for blush, bronzer and highlighter if I need to!

4. Disposables and Bobbi Pins: Always a must when traveling and yet so easily forgotten. I like having cotton rounds to take of nail polish or eye makeup and yet it seems like I always end up forgetting them when I pack.

5. Lip Balm: I always have a lip balm on me because my lips always get super dry when I fly. I like this Burts Bees lip balm because it has a nice berry tint to it!

6. Blush: I try and keep the blushes to a minimum when traveling. If I had the space I could easily pack 5 blushes but I try and find one that will work with many different looks!

7. Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow Palette: I bring this with me because it is a two in one palette. It allows me to have a great bronzer and highlighter but with out the clutter of having different products.

8. Nail Polish: If I am wearing a certain color when traveling, I always try and remember to pack it just in case it chips and I need to touch it up. I also usually bring a topcoat or clear polish with me as well.

Comment below and tell me some of your must haves for traveling! Thanks for reading.
