Feeling Like Summer with Poppy Picnic Palette

Feeling like summer with Poppy Picnic

I have to admit, I purchased this palette only because of its packaging. This stunning neon floral pattern caught my eye and I knew I needed it to be a part of my makeup collection.  That being said I have fallen in love with this palette.

The Tarte Poppy Picnic Limited Edition Amazonian Clay Eye and Cheek Palette is one that should not be overlooked. With six beautiful matte eye shadows and a gorgeous peachy pink blush this palette is perfect for neutral lovers.

Shades in this palette:
         - Summer Breeze- light cream
         - Sweat Tea- warm tan
         - Ice Cream Cone- chocolate brown
         - Barefoot in the Grass- nude
         - Peach Poppy- pinky peach  (my favorite shade)
         - Picnic Basket- brown

         - Glisten- golden peachy pink

Indoor Lighting Swatches:

Direct Sunlight Swatches:

These are very good quality eye shadows and they blend seamlessly. If you don’t already own the “Naked Basics” palettes or something like it, I would highly suggest picking up this palette. This palette is limited edition so if you are interested I would grab it sooner rather than later.

I hope this was helpful and thanks for reading!

Packing for a Trip: Beauty Edition

Packing for a Trip: Beauty Edition

I have been traveling a bit over the last few months and it inspired me to do a post on some of my go to items that I choose to travel with.

1. Lorac Unzipped Palette: I like traveling with this palette because it gives my tons of variety within one palette. I also like it because the packaging is thin and it slips right down into my makeup bag with out taking up to much space. Other good palettes: NARSissist Palette, Lorac Pro Palette and Lise Watier Palette Rivages.

2. Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation: This is a great foundation for travel because of the plastic packaging. I don't have to worry about glass bottles breaking in my makeup bag and ruining my other products. I also love the finish and formula of this product, which is a win win!

3. Makeup Brushes: I try to only pack a few brushes that work for many different things. I like this mac brush because I can use it for blush, bronzer and highlighter if I need to!

4. Disposables and Bobbi Pins: Always a must when traveling and yet so easily forgotten. I like having cotton rounds to take of nail polish or eye makeup and yet it seems like I always end up forgetting them when I pack.

5. Lip Balm: I always have a lip balm on me because my lips always get super dry when I fly. I like this Burts Bees lip balm because it has a nice berry tint to it!

6. Blush: I try and keep the blushes to a minimum when traveling. If I had the space I could easily pack 5 blushes but I try and find one that will work with many different looks!

7. Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow Palette: I bring this with me because it is a two in one palette. It allows me to have a great bronzer and highlighter but with out the clutter of having different products.

8. Nail Polish: If I am wearing a certain color when traveling, I always try and remember to pack it just in case it chips and I need to touch it up. I also usually bring a topcoat or clear polish with me as well.

Comment below and tell me some of your must haves for traveling! Thanks for reading.

Drugstore Gems under $7

Hello Beautiful People,
I wanted to share with you all some of my go to drugstore products that I have loved for a long time.

1. Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation: A lovely medium coverage foundation that blends into the skin seamlessly and stays on for 6+ hours.

2. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer: A concealer I always repurchase because it is so easy to apply and covers exactly what I need it to cover.

3. NYC Sunny Smooth Skin Bronzer: A great matte bronzer for light to medium skin tones.

4. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara: A mascara that has been around for a long time and for good reason. Its a wonderful mascara that separates your lashes and adds length.

5. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks: I love this color but I also love this whole line of lipsticks. They are low maintenance long wearing colors that are comfortable to wear and easy to apply.

I hope you all enjoyed my under $7 drugstore favs. Thanks for reading!

A Neutral Palette for Neutral Lovers

Palette Rivages Eye shadows

I purchased this Lise Watier palette a few weeks ago and I have really enjoyed using it.  I picked this up because I had not heard anything about it. I love finding new gems to introduce into this beauty world so I thought I would give it a go.

The first thing that drew me in was this beautiful seashell like packaging. It is SO pretty. Second are the shades in this palette. It has such a unique feel. Most palettes either have the same basic neutral shades or bright neon’s that is hard to wear on a day-to-day basis. This palette has a fun twist on neutrals with warm and cool shades. This is a great palette for every day looks or even creating a smokey evening look.

Overall, I have been nothing but happy with this palette. The shadows are stunningly pigmented with a creamy texture. They last well on the eyes with and with out primer. If you are a neutral eye shadow lover than this is a palette for you.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and thanks for reading!

My Evening Skincare Routine

My Evening Skincare Routine

I wanted to share my current evening skincare routing with you all. I use a lot of different products but these are my go to items that I reach for almost every night.

1. Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask- This mask is said to "clear pores, absorb environmental toxins, and dissolve impurities". I use this when my skin needs a refresher. My skin tends to have a mind of its own and when I start breaking out I always pull this mask out and use it. It always helps clear up my skin issues.

2. Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser- I love how light this cleanser is. I use this almost every night with and with out my Clarisonic. It does a great job of removing makeup or any other dirt etc. thats on my skin.

-Sidenote: I use my Clarisonic very regularly and it is amazing. It has really helped with my breakouts and has helped reduce redness from acne scars. I highly suggest trying this if you are acne prone.

3. Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum- This is a new skin care item in my routine and I have really been enjoying it. My skin can be dry in places and its nice to have an extra step of moisture to add to my routine.

4. Embryolisse Lait-Cream Concentre- This is my all time favorite moisturizer. I started using this in my professional kit about four years ago and after a while I started buying it for myself as well. Its gentle but adds so much moisture. I also like that its a very neutral scent which is nice because I don't like heavy scents in my moisturizers (especially before bed).

5. Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm- I got this eye cream in one of my Glossy Box's and I believe this is just a large sample size. This sample has seriously lasted me forever. I like how smooth and soft it makes my under eye area. I haven't had any dry patches or tenderness in my eye area since using this.  I wouldn't use this if you are looking for de-puffing or brightening though. I haven't noticed any changes to the puffiness or under eye circles.

6. Origins Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel- This has been a lifesaver. I use this any time I get any sort of blemish. I dab a little bit of this on the spot before bed and the spot looks noticeable better in the morning. It is a TINY little jar but you use a tiny amount on each blemish and it lasts months.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and make sure to comment below with some of your favorite skin care items!

Summer Blush Favorites

Summer Blush Favorites

Hello Everyone,
I wanted to share with you some of my favorite blushes at the moment.

1. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush " DiffusedHeat" - I love this blush because it is mixed with the ambient lighting powder (the white swirl). This adds the most beautiful glow to this blush. No need for a highlighter when you use these.

2. Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee"Poppy Paradise" - I loving using a good cream blush and this one is especially great. It is so sheer but so easily build able. This blush has a staining effect that helps to make this blush last for hours.

3. Marc Jacobs Shameless Bold Blush"Promiscuous" - I have a few of these Marc Jacobs blushes and I love them all. They are so beautiful but so subtle on the cheeks. Every shade is wearable and looks good on so many skin tones.

4. Jouer Mineral Powder Blush "Blossom" - This is a new addition to my makeup collection and I love it already. It’s a gorgeous soft peach shade and it adds so much life to my cheeks!

I hope you all enjoyed this post. Make sure to comment below and share some of your favorite blushes this summer!
